Hot-dip aluminum-zinc-silicon （GL） products are hot-dipped aluminum （Al55%）, zinc （Zn43.5%）, and silicon （Si1.5%） alloys on the strip surface, which have excellent corrosion resistance.
The hot-dip aluminum-zinc alloy has been successfully developed on the basis of hot-dip aluminizing and hot-dip galvanizing technology. It has excellent atmospheric corrosion resistance, heat and oxidation resistance, and excellent galvanized steel products. The electrochemical protection makes the incisions and scratches less prone to corrosion and rust.
The main advantages are as follows:
（1） The surface is smooth, has excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion, and its corrosion life is 2-6 times higher than that of hot-dip galvanized steel;
（2） It has good heat and oxidation resistance, long-term constant color at 300 °C, long-term use at around 500 ℃, good water and soil corrosion resistance, and its water corrosion resistance is better than hot-dip galvanized sheet and heat. Aluminized plate, which is better than soil galvanized plate, is an ideal material for making corrosion-resistant devices such as automobile silencer, exhaust pipe, grain dryer, water heater, etc. In addition, the product's heat reflectivity is higher than 75%. 2 times that of galvanized sheet;
（3） It has excellent coating properties and good processing properties. It has strong bonding ability to organic materials and is the best choice for color organic coated steel substrate. Its processability and weldability are similar to those of hot-dip galvanized sheets, and it can be processed by cold bending, stamping, etc., and has a good appearance.
